Our Work

Tallawah Foundation is a Jamaican-led organization dedicated to helping communities recover and rebuild after disasters. When Hurricane Melissa struck, we knew our neighbors needed more than words, they needed real support.

We provide practical help to families and communities working to get back on their feet. From emergency supplies to rebuilding assistance, we're here to walk alongside people through the hardest moments, offering care that makes a real difference.

After Hurricane Melissa

  • We delivered over 230 care packages filled with food, laundry soap, baby wipes, treats like energy drinks, and other essentials to families in need.
  • Our holiday packages brought a little joy with rum cake and sorrel for adults and cookies and books for the kids.
  • We donated more than 550 litres of clean water to communities without access.
  • We supplied 100 cement blocks to a woman who lost her house so she could start rebuilding.
  • We gave ply, cement, sand, and zinc to a family who lost their roof in the storm.
  • We donated ply, two-by-fours, cement, and sand to help rebuild a full home from the ground up.
